AmeriCorps Week is Almost Here!
AmeriCorps Week (May 11 - 18, 2008) is around the corner and WNY AmeriCorps would like to invite you and all of our members, volunteers, community, and business partners to join us in the celebration. AmeriCorps Week is an annual event designed to :
* Bring More Americans Into Service
* Salute AmeriCorps Members and Alums
* Thank Community PartnersWe're aiming to make the 2008 AmeriCorps Week even bigger and better, and that can happen only if as many AmeriCorps projects, directors, members, alumnus, and friends participate as possible.
That's why we need your help. We have planned a weeks' worth of activities designed to accomplish our 3 stated goals. We are inviting you to attend any number of them, but especially our Thursday service project where we will renovate our partner and host site, The International Institute of Buffalo. Also we will have a commencement ceremony honoring our valuable members, dignitaries, and community. Please review the calendar below and RSVP the dates you'll be in attendance to WNY AmeriCorps VISTA Leader, Meela Moore either via e-mail at MMoore@wnyamericorps.org or call 716-558-3332.
