WNY AmeriCorps concluded the third annual AmeriCorps Week with a group of projects on Buffalo’s West Side neighborhood with Massachusetts Avenue Project (MAP) and People United for Sustainable Housing (PUSH Buffalo). The service projects revolved around creating urban green spaces, ensuring community access to healthy local food, and safe and affordable housing.

WNY AmeriCorps began the third annual AmeriCorps Week by partnering with University at Buffalo to bring the 2009 National Service Job Fair to the university’s Downtown Gateway Building, welcoming hundreds of citizens to learn how they can serve in AmeriCorps, meet members and alumni, and begin applying for our programs. The Job Fair was a fantastic success and we’d like to thank everyone who came out to learn how they can serve.
