ServiceCorps Holding Open Recruitment Days

ServiceCorps is a community youth corps, designed to create the region’s next generation of leaders through civic engagement and leadership development.
It is based on discipline and teamwork, and its goal is to create individuals that are civic leaders, well versed in community needs and solutions, and able to take meaningful leadership roles within their lives and our nation.

AmeriCorps Week Wraps Up on the West Side of Buffalo

WNY AmeriCorps concluded the third annual AmeriCorps Week with a group of projects on Buffalo’s West Side neighborhood with Massachusetts Avenue Project (MAP) and People United for Sustainable Housing (PUSH Buffalo). The service projects revolved around creating urban green spaces, ensuring community access to healthy local food, and safe and affordable housing.

WNY AmeriCorps and UB to Announce National Service "Job Fair!"

On Tuesday, May 5 at 10:30am at the UB Downtown Gateway Building (former M. Wile Building) 77 Goodell St., WNY AmeriCorps and the University at Buffalo will hold a press conference to officially announce the 2009 National Service “Job Fair” to take place the following week.

Earth Week 2009 In Full Swing!

Hundreds of WNY AmeriCorps members, community volunteers from Hands On Greater Buffalo, and corporate partners have made Earth Week / National Volunteer Week 2009 wildly successful, and its not over yet!

WNY AmeriCorps Alums March in Inaugural Parade!

WNY AmeriCorps' very own Mark Lazzara, Joshua Randle, and Kate Sarata marched in the historic inaugural parade in Washington, DC on January 20, 2009 along-side AmeriCorps Alums from accross the nation.
