ServiceCorps offers young men and women opportunities to serve their community and nation, while learning valuable life skills, including working towards earning their GED. There are two unique ways to serve with ServiceCorps; delivering food to the needy, or learning construction and disaster relief skills.
ServiceCorps members are one of the largest providers of food in Western New York, delivering more than 25,000 pounds to area pantries each day for needy individuals and families.
ServiceCorps teaches valuable construction and disaster relief skills to youths while responding to natural disasters across the nation, providing them with opportunities to obtain an educational experience that will enhance their employment skills as a means to achieving self-sufficiency.
Members will recieve a modest living allowance as well as an opportunity to earn their GED. Upon completing the program members will recieve an education award to continue their education at a qualified institution. The award can be used at any college or trade school that accepts Stafford type loans.
