On Tuesday, May 5 at 10:30am at the UB Downtown Gateway Building (former M. Wile Building) 77 Goodell St., WNY AmeriCorps and the University at Buffalo will hold a press conference to officially announce the 2009 National Service “Job Fair” to take place the following week.
WNY AmeriCorps is seeking to fill between 300 and 700 positions this year, ranging from full time opportunities with area schools and non-profits, to summer positions focusing on environmental protection in a team based experience. Whether a college student or grad, or looking to earn a GED, there is an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to serve. UB is partnering with WNY AmeriCorps to bring the National Service ‘Job Fair’ to the UB Downtown Gateway Building.
The WNY AmeriCorps and UB National Service ‘Job Fair’ will include the opportunity to meet with WNY AmeriCorps staff, speak with WNY AmeriCorps members and alumni about their experience, apply for positions, and learn more about the culture of national service and how it impacts Western New York.
