After a lot of buzz in the community, it was officially announced this morning that Extreme Makeover Home Edition is coming to Western New York, and WNY AmeriCorps is partnering with David Homes, and other fantastic local organizations and businesses, to coordinate the thousands of volunteers it takes to make the "big reveal" happen.

( Release ) BUFFALO, NY – David Stapleton today announced first on Channel 7's "Eyewitness News This Morning" that “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” will be rewarding a deserving Buffalo family in the coming weeks. This is the FIRST time that “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” has come to the Queen city.
After reviewing hundreds of applicant-entrees and numerous builders, the popular television program selected David Homes as the builder of choice to handle the project. David Homes is one of Western New York’s most environmental friendly builders and has clearly demonstrated their commitment to building green homes.

While the announcement of the family and the location of the home site will not be announced until November 7, five families are being considered in the Buffalo area and one deserving family will be selected as the recipient of a new home – and a life changing gift.
